I remember I was introduced to the song years ago at a committee meeting, and at that time, I thought the lady who sang it passionately sounded strangely out of tune. How lovely that He gently reminded me about an old gospel hymn today – “His Eye is on the Sparrow”, written in 1905. Once again, faith is renewed and strength is restored in one’s heart. Things always look very different after a moment of praise and thanksgiving towards our God. I suppose that is always when I have made the mistake of looking at all that has been happening around the world and life in general, when I have forgotten to look away from it all, and instead, to look up, toward our Abba Father, who is all-knowing, loving, sovereign and faithful.
